Probably a mistake to describe the room as a ‘canteen’ to the architects, implying a place where staff disappear on break. Bus ‘canteens’ need to be close to the traffic office so the spare drivers can stay in touch with the inspectors! Maybe a video link can be installed between the two rooms.

Appearance wise it is fine but their are a few functional problems like drivers not opening/not able to open? bay doors, no clock and would have thought that this would have been an opportunity to smarten up your act with proper regular announcements of bus departures and an electronic display board with departure information. It seems really old fashioned to have to find a map of the station (orientated the wrong way) to find the bay you need and then look at the timetable next to the bay to find out what time bus departs. Have seen lots of people looking very lost since it opened.
Also not feeling so well disposed to it as it adds 15 minutes to my morning journey time. This is the time taken to connect with the 18/418 to the University of Bath in either Corn Street or outside All Bar One. Really hope when Southgate works are finished you plan to place a stop near to the bus station. Now empathise with all Uni staff who come into Bath by train and have had to put up with this inconvenience since Southgate works started.

Thanks!
We are trying to iron out the teething problems like the vehicle doors, and I believe a clock is under order – but we will chase this! We do hope Real Time Passenger Information on electronic display screens will follow, as you suggest. We will pass on your comment on this issue to see if we can get any information about timescales for you!
I can reassure you that there will be another round of musical bus stops once the remaining work on the other side of Dorchester Street is completed. This will involve moving many of the services that currently use the Ambury and Corn Street round to Dorchester Street so that everything is centralised around the Transport Interchange. As far as we are aware, this will include the University services, so hopefully the extra time taken for your journey by walking to the Number 18 stop will not last for very long. We are really grateful for your patience through this, and hope you can appreciate that the council is having to move bus stops in phases as the work progresses.
If you have any other observations, do let us know, as we are keen to get this right for all of our passengvers, as far as possible!

Thanks for info. Glad to here that Real Time Passenger Information is planned as often asked for advice by non regular passengers although much easier to direct them to travel office now.
Re the walk to the University bus stop, I will try thinking about the fitness level gained as opposed to the time lost.
